A Twitter account claiming to be 'Antifa' and calling for violence
during the protests sparked by the death of George Floyd, is found out
to be a white supremacist group in disguise.
The fake account,
@ANTIFA_US, tweeted Sunday, “ALERT Tonight’s the night, Comrades Tonight
we say “F**k The City” and we move into the residential areas… the
white hoods…. and we take what’s ours #BlacklivesMaters #F**kAmerica.”
Twitter
has since removed the account, but not before Donald Trump Jr.
unknowingly directed his 2.8 million Instagram followers to the account
to prove how dangerous ANTIFA is.
“Absolutely insane,” Trump Jr.
wrote on Instagram, sharing a screenshot of the tweet, “Just remember
what ANTIFA really is. A Terrorist Organization! They’re not even
pretending anymore.”
Only one problem - the reason it fooled so many people is because that is exactly what Antifa sounds like.
ReplyDeleteThey omitted any evidence of this being the work of a white supremacist group. (And I'm not disputing whether it is or it isn't, I have no idea, but where is the evidence of that?). An entire article based on a claim without providing the data for the claim. Rather ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteyou cant be serious this was don jr's bests proof because it fit his expectations not because there was really proof that violence wa scaused bt antifa as father and son claim
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying that white supremacists aren't behind some of the Twitter accounts. I'm saying that people will easily believe fraudulent tweets because the real Antifa is pretty much the same.
ReplyDeleteThink of it this way. Let's say Satmar and the Neutrei Karta had Twitter accounts. Now I go and set up a fake Satmar Twitter account where I shout out hatred for the State, sympathy for its elderly and encouragement to those who want to dodge the draft.
Maybe I'm a little nastier than mainstream Satmar. Would it occur to anyone that I'm fake?
so why label all opposition as ANTIFA and fail to show any evidence?!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, hope you are well
ReplyDeletethanks!
