ReplyDeleteMany of the European nation states have large populations of Muslims from arab / iran and afghanistan, eg Sweden, Norway, Germany etc. The scandinavian states are anti-israel and anti-semitic, and pro Islam/palestine. Same goes for France and Germany is in a class of its own (at least they used to be pro Israel).
ReplyDeleteThese countries appeased germany, whilst Italy sided with them. Britain is being cautious - the Pm is supporting Trump but is also working to get UK prisoners released from Iran's jails. In wartime, britain also appeased Hitler initially, and the left wing of today are also pro Iran and anti-American (and anti-semitic).

Now Boris Johnson also faced severe and irrational hatred from the left wing, and pro-Palestine anti-semites. Living in europe, you see things pretty much in black or white - the anti trump /antiamerican/ anti semitic pro palestine pro EU left - vs. the pro British, pro israel - pro American and Euroskeptic right. Most antisemitism is coming from the left and not the far right. The recent anti-Jewish attacks in America were largely black-muslim brotherhood crazies, not neo nazis.
"Europe" has screwed up every major decision in the last several centuries, leading to endless turmoil, suffering and war. If you do the opposite of what "Europe" wants you wind up doing well every single time. So if "Europe" hates the democratically elected leader of the country that kept them free of Soviet slavery for 30 years and prefers a theocracy that opposes all the liberal views "Europe" supposedly represents, then I guess you can't have a clearer sign that you need to side with Trump on this one.
