Speaking with Martha MacCallum on Fox News in the wake of the Parnas
interview, Nunes said the businessman was "someone who doesn't tell the
truth," and brought up his indictment on campaign finance charges.
Reminded
that he previously said he didn't "recall" a phone call with the
Giuliani associate, the GOP representative said: "If you recall, that
was brand new when it came out, when I was on your show. I just didn't
know the name. This name Parnas.
You still don't get it.
ReplyDeleteTrump won in 2016 because he knew the US electorate would respond better to a reality show contestant than to a traditional political candidate.
Trump will likely win this year because while the Dem's are still working to overturn the results of the last election, he's preparing for the next one.
Is Trump a horrible person? Sure. Does he lie? Absolutely. Would I want to be in the same room as him? Maybe just to shake his hand so I could bring that up at parties but then I'd leave.
But you keep missing that the alternative is, at best, no better and more likely, much worse. His opponent in 2016 was just as much a corrupt liar as him, she just had a better public persona and a media wiling to cover up her equivalent crimes. Trump paid off a stripper? Big news! Hillary erased a government hard drive after taking it home? Nothing to see here folks!
You are limiting yourself by remaining rabidly partisan. You have to realize that the entire system is broken since the only way to win is to be a horrible person and the biggest liar wins. Agitate for both sides to change instead of focusing on the result, instead of the causes.
