  1. Reb Doniel are you ok with anyone claiming to be an activist for children as reputable and accepted? You call out others for silly things but when someone fits your agenda your all in. some examples.
    1. Three years ago the Gedolim and Moetzes of Agudah have called on Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks to apologize for his anti remarks about Charedim. Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz only heaped praise, tweeting a link to that very speech.
You would think Yakov Horowitz would be disgusted by the remarks and hurt by the attack on Charedi Jewry, but no he only writes what a kiddush hashem Rabbi Sacks made and how the speech brought him to tears! that's because he agrees with what was said. Horowitz believes in running to the secular media washing our dirty laundry in public creating a chilul hashem.

    2. When senior American Roshei Yeshiva held a protest against Giyus in manhattan. Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz mocked it making light if the gezeiras hashmad of going to the IDF tweeting this,
"New rule?? all "askanim" organize protests must list goals/outcomes instead of rabbonim's names. (goal on Sunday was??)"

    3. In Another tweet he defends the Yesh Atid party of Yair Lapid and blasts the Charedim for not respecting the secular version of shavuos politicians expect secular Jews to respect/support our learning but disrespect what they do YH, refers to an article that Yesh Atid members held a secular version of Shavuos night tikkun for secular Israelis where there was chilul Yom tov and had ladies wearing taleisim and reading from the torah. He expects the charedim to be tolerant of that.

  2. Are you claiming that a activist has to have a pure party line and can not voice or doing anything which is against that viewpoint?!

The job of a child activist is to help children - not necessarily be a gadol or tzadik .

Again if you want to claim that he is what he teaches about abuse is wrong and/or harmful - then please present your claims

If you want to tell me that you don't like him or that he deviates from the Daas Torah of the Agudah or some expected beliefs of chareidi Jews - then it really doesn't interest me. Why don't you take on the job that he is doing? Please tell me about the others in the Chareidi world that are working on child safety - that you admire?

  3. There are many who are actually involved dirtying their hands helping children in Monsey they are in the trenches, hands on but you know what? you wont hear of them because they are not tweeting posting selfies on Facebook or giving lectures and talking, they are out in the field dong the work that others only preach about. I know 3 tzadikim who deal with it 24 7 they dont want their names mentioned and are not looking for sympathy or credit they are doing it out of ahavas yisrael.

  4. Imho I think R' H's tweets etc must be seen in the context of his worry and concern for the plight of children , not only physical abuse but the effects of poverty on children. Except for more handouts this is not a concern of the chareidi political parties ( not Shas ) . The quiet revolution – academic learning and joining the work force is taking place despite them.

  5. In a war you have one that blows the shofar or sirens and then you have the foot soldiers doing the job and in that order. R' Ya'akov Shli"ta is multitasking doing both and more. He also disseminates how to be proactive amongst many others. You should be grateful what he conributes to the society, especially to the vulnerable children. Don't you think?

  6. How could an impartial observer tell if a report of three unnamed people doing unspecified thing is true or not? And without specifying the acts, how could the observer decide if what they're doing is helpful, irrelevant, or even making things worse?

  7. Because everyone in Monsey knows of them. Secondly, what do you know about YH personally besides from what he broadcasts of himself online? do you know for a fact weather he is actively involved with children and teens at risk? Yes he advocates and speaks about it but does he have any nightly or daily programs working with kids?
    do some research.

  8. Why would he oppose a competing book on child safety if he was so concerned for the plight of children?
Speak to people in Monsey that know the real story.

  9. I don't know whether your assertion that he opposed a competing book is true. If it is true it a question why he did it.

As I keep repeating - please bring proof that he has done a poor job as an advocate for children and has produced harm rather than benefit. So far you have just brought accusations of misdeeds you claim he did - but you don't address direct the question of his performance as an advocate.

  10. You angry attacks on Rabbi Horowitz have not been supported by any hard evidence.

Either produce some or I will simply stop approving you accusations

  11. Ask your brother in Monsey.
A principle of a school in Monsey was recently accused by a former student there was a plea deal and the principle was forced out of the school and may no longer walk in. YH was silent not a peep, always quick to jump on it when it comes to others specifically in the chasidish circles, in this case yanky was quiet. Why?

  12. you obviously are not familiar with the case

  13. I'm quite familiar with the case he plead guilty to a lesser charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Yet he has same restrictions that are imposed on sex offenders. Many believe myself included he was falsely accused since no one else came forward. Why didn't Yanky defend him and stick up for a fellow veteran mechanech? and if hes guilty why was yanky who is so outspoken, silent?
