Police arrest two after residents chase officers, hurl rocks, and burn trashcans to protest the removal of a sign that calls for the separation of men and women on a main street.

  1. Rav Yonasan Rosenblum has written two pieces recently in which the theme was: Stop focusing on a bunch of nutty extremists when the vast majority of Chareidim are decent, quiet folks who never get involved in such stupidity.
But sometimes I wonder if the inmates aren't running the asylum on that side of the fence.

  2. the problem is that the leaders are not condemning this behavior

  3. These people barely constitute a minyan. It is not necessary for the leaders of world Jewry to condemn every time some meshugana acts up.

  4. Well that leads to the second problem, doesn't it? If I remember my various news stories correctly, these Chareidim are great at quoting "Daas Torah" when it suits them but when that same Daas Torah tells them something they don't want to hear, then ignore it.
Of course, there's the trouble that half the time the so-called leaders don't say anything because they don't want their followers to attack them as well.

  5. Rav Sternbuch and the Badatz signed against Neturei Karta when they kissed Ahmadinijad ys because "bemokom sheyeish chilul Hashem tzrichim lefarsem"

Maybe Rav Eidensohn can ask them to do the same when a 7 year old girl is being spat on and terrorized to be replayed the world over.

According to the Debriciner Rov incidentally, girls do not have to dress tzniusdik until they are 8 years old.

  6. Jonathan Rosenblum was a mouthpiece for Tropper and such we should ignore anything he says or writes.

As a BT he wants nothing more than to be accepted by the "authentic" Orthodox.

He serves as Haredi apologist regarding child molesters , hooligans etc.
