There is no evidence to back Mr Trump's suggestion that offshore wind turbines are killing whales.
NOAA says there are "no known links" between recent large whale mortality rates and offshore wind surveys. But that doesn't mean building windfarms comes at no cost for natural habitats.
Nope. The noise especially pile driving in the construction phase harms not only whales and dolphins but also fish, and other species

typical conspiracy theory nonsense- big claims no actual evidence

It's like saying the Germans weren't so bad because they didn't kill anyone living on the Falkland Islands.
ReplyDeleteSo wind turbines kill millions of birds a year, make loud noises that scare animals on neaerby farmland, don't provide any electricity when the wind doesn't blow and are made of 100% non-recyclable parts which then go to fill up dumps on pristine land when they wear out.
Falkland islands would be a great place for wind turbines, except you would need very long cables to transmit the electricity to the mainland
ReplyDeleteNo evidence is presented
ReplyDeleteOh for crying out loud
