Truck drivers are blocking a key border crossing between the US and Canada, sparking fears of economic disruption.
While limited US-bound traffic is being allowed to cross the Ambassador Bridge in Ontario, Canada-bound lanes from Detroit remain closed.
Business associations have called for the bridge to be immediately cleared to ensure the steady flow of goods.
The protests across Canada against vaccine rules and Covid restrictions are now two weeks old.
People aren't all stupid.
ReplyDeleteYears ago when Natives occupied a partially built suburb in Caledonia, Ontario and used violence to drive out the builders, the government surrendered to them and gave into their demands. A few years ago when Natives blockaded rail lines across Canada, the government surrendered to them and gave into their demands. When ecofascist protestors started blockading pipeline building sites the government gave into to them and either cancelled the pipelines or made the regulations so strict that none could ever be built. When the Natives occupied another partially built suburb in Caledonia last year the government gave into them again.
Now the truckers and then hundreds of thousands of supporters are making demands of this same government and SUDDENLY people are shouting about the rule of law and limits to protest.
People aren't all stupid. They can smell hypocrisy.
