A family of four may have caused the country’s largest Omicron outbreak to date because they chose not to quarantine after returning from a trip to South Africa.
The
haredi (ultra-Orthodox) family from Jerusalem - parents and two young
children, known as “Family P” - recently returned to Israel from South
Africa.
Oh there's a shock. A Chareidi family thought the rules didn't apply to them because it's not in Shulchan Aruch.
ReplyDeleteAnd why not say "Well there are plenty of misbehaving Chilonim too"? Because Chilonim don't shout out as a community that they are pious and law-abiding.
actually it is in the Shulchan Aruch. You are not allowed to harm other people.
ReplyDeleteBTW, "Chareidi" stereotype - but i was in a Jeruslaem hotel a few years back, and a nice chiloni man went and coughed all over the bread section for breakfast. Of course i avoided it, but what about the people who came after? At least some people try to follow the shulchan aruch - what about that cough man? And i am guilty of it, i sneeze over someoen once
Because the Chiloni guy was a jerk but the Chareidi guy was a pious jerk.
ReplyDeleteis a chareidi bank robber worse than a chiloni one?
