Former FBI director James Comey once said that dealing with Donald Trump gave him "flashbacks to my earlier career as a prosecutor against the Mob".
The US president has certainly made TikTok an offer it can't refuse.
If the video app doesn't break away from its Chinese owner, ByteDance, and sell its US operation to Microsoft, Mr Trump will simply ban it - putting TikTok's access to its 80 million active American users in jeopardy.
TikTok has been revealed to be a monitoring agent of the Chinese government. It shouldn't be allowed in any Western country including Israel. So if Trump can get rid of it or neuter it down and make a buck off it, good for him. He's dealing with mobsters so why not?
ReplyDeletesure if you object to the Chinese on moral and ethical grounds the way to react is according to what you are complaining about
ReplyDeleteI object to the Chinese government on moral and ethical grounds. It's a fascist regime that oppresses its own people, runs concentration camps, steals organs from Falun gong, engages in cyberwarfare and cybertheft around the globe and supplies some of Israel's most dangerous enemies with great weapons. What's not to oppose?
ReplyDeletethe question is how?
