The actors portraying Chasidim are actually OTD Chasidim who "freid out". So it is little surprise that they can dress up like chasidim accurately.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what's so surprising even for a goy to dress up accurately?

DeleteActually not, I read that all the actors are non-Jews to avoid any problems.

ReplyDeleteWho needs such garbage in frum neighborhoods? Based on past experience, usually when tv and movie cameras come rolling in, esp. from some series that is already known to be not in line with our values, the result doesn't make us look good.
ReplyDeleteRather than being a cause for celebration, I think it is cause for שק ואפר, like with the תרגום שבעים.
