Judge Hit With Complaint Over Making 'Improper' Comments About Trump

 https://www.newsweek.com/judge-hit-complaint-over-making-improper-comments-about-trump-2105446

According to the Associated Press (AP), Boasberg's alleged remarks stem from comments he made to Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and other federal judges that the Trump administration could trigger a constitutional crisis if they intentionally sidestep rulings.

"Today at my direction, @TheJusticeDept filed a misconduct complaint against U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg for making improper public comments about President Trump and his Administration. These comments have undermined the integrity of the judiciary, and we will not stand for that," Bondi said on X.

Boasberg's comments were reportedly made at a meeting of the Judicial Conference, as first reported by The Federalist, citing a memo obtained of the meeting.

According to the AP, Bondi's complaint calls for Boasberg to be reassigned from the deportation case amid the investigation and possible impeachment if the allegations are substantiated.

Image of Gazan child with genetic illness being used to falsely smear Israel, COGAT charges

 https://www.timesofisrael.com/image-of-gazan-child-with-genetic-illness-being-used-to-falsely-smear-israel-cogat-charges/

A widely circulated image of an emaciated Palestinian child has been used to falsely accuse Israel of starving children in Gaza, charged the Defense Ministry body overseeing civilian affairs in the Palestinian territories on Monday, as Israel continued to combat accusations of having deliberately starved the population of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the subject of the viral photo, 5-year-old Osama al-Rakab, suffers from a serious genetic illness that is unrelated to the ongoing war, and is currently undergoing treatment abroad.

On June 12, Israeli authorities coordinated his exit from Gaza via the Ramon airport, along with his mother and brother, and he is receiving medical treatment in Italy, COGAT said.

Donald Trump Says His Name May Have Been Planted in Jeffrey Epstein Files

 https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-name-planted-epstein-files-relationship-conspiracy-2105171

Trump was asked in Turnberry, Scotland, "You had said you had not been briefed that your name was in the Epstein files, doesn't the AG have to tell you?"

The president responded, in part, "Well, I haven't been overly interested in it. It's a hoax that's been built up by those, way beyond proportion. Those files were run by the worst scum on earth. They were run by Comey, they were run by Garland, they were run by Biden. Those files were run for four years by those people."

"The whole thing is a hoax. They ran the files. I was running against somebody that ran the files. If they had something they would have released."

He continued, "Now, they can easily put something in the files that's a phony. As an example, Christopher Steele, wrote a book, we call the 'fake news dossier.' The whole thing was a fake. The whole thing was a fake. They can put things in the file that was a fake. Those files were run by sick, sick people."

Reform Jews are all Heretics

Igros Moshe (Even HaEzer III #3):…Question: A convert by a Reform Rabbi who married a Jew and he left her – does she require a get from him? Answer It is clear and obvious to me that the conversion had no significance and he remains a goy as he was originally and therefore the marriage had no significance. Even if he had mila and tevila he did not have a valid beis din and at the minimum when he was accepting mitzvos  and he needed two valid witnesses for the mila and tevila. All the Reform Jews are invalid witnesses since they are deny Torah is from Heaven. So even if there are not witnesses that they have transgressed all the mitzvos of the Torah, the affiliation with the Reform itself is evidence that they are heretics which is at a lower level than a non Jew and there is no need to have witnesses that they are heretics. Consequently the mila and tevila are not valid. The acceptance of mitzvos is also invalid. As a result there is no need for a get and I think it is even prohibited to be strict and require a get. .

Trump fumes as Epstein scandal dominates headlines, overshadows agenda

The White House and Justice Department’s response has been driven by no clear strategy other than asking the country to move on, people close to the situation told The Post.

Bongino and Patel were included in drafting, approving and advocating the release of the memo that detailed their decision not to release more from the files, according to emails reviewed by The Post and three people close to the president.

But since the backlash intensified, both have privately groused that if they were in charge, they would have released the Epstein files, redacting identifying information about victims, according to two people familiar with private conversations.

Bongino, a former Secret Service officer turned podcast host with a large right-wing following, was furious about the fallout over the memo and video release, the people said.

Tevila – Disposable Aluminum utensils

Igros Moshe (YD III #23) Question: Do disposable one time use pans require tevila if used more than once?Answer Something which is not durable and exists only for a short time does not become impure. Therefore these pans which can not be used more than three times can not become impure. It is a problem only for very inexpensive utensils which are disposed because they are so inexpensive. Therefore they don’t need tevila.

Tevila – Aluminum

Igros Moshe (YD III #22) Question: Do Aluminum utensils require Tevila Answer Aluminum is a new type of metal which is not mentioned in the Torah and thus it would seem that it doesn’t require tevila.  The verse about tevila mentions only 6 types and doesn’t say all metals reqire tevila.  Similarly while glass doesn’t require tevila according to the Torah but the Rabbis decreed it requires tevila but not because it is like metal but because it is like pottery.  Thus not all metals require tevila but only those specified by the Torah. However I think it needs tevila on a rabbinic level like glass.

Aliyah to a sinner whose services are needed by the community

Igros Moshe (O.C. II #51) Question: To honor a sinner whose services are needed by many such as a doctor?Answer: Concerning a Jewish doctor who is needed by many and he is a good person who is also generous in giving tzedakah as well as many important favors to the community but he married a non Jewish woman. He was very offended when not given honors for his intermarriage and has distanced himself from the community  The leaders of the community want to know whether they can honor him occasionally to stop the harm that has resulted from his distancing himself? While there is a problem of honoring a sinner because of chanifah, but there is not a prohibition to allow him to open or close the Ark. If he sins only from temptation and not in defiance it is possible to give him an Aliyah.  However there is still the problem of chanifah. Tosfos says this is permitted to avoid danger. It seems that the prohibition of chanifah is that it is understood as saying that that which is prohibited is really permitted. Therefore when it is clear that you are honoring him  to get benefits and not to indicate you agree with his sins this would not constitute chanifa. It would still seem a problem since it is false flattery. However since it is because of peace it is not prohibited. Since the community leaders feel there is an important need for his services it is permitted to honor him with honors other than an aliyah

Amen to Beracha of Reform or Conservative Rabbi

Igros Moshe (O.C. III #21) Question:Reform or Conservative rabbis who sometimes come to an Orthodox synagogue Should they get an Aliyah? Answer: It is clear and obvious that it is forbidden to give them an Aliyah since this requires saying a beracha before and after the reading. And their beracha has no significance and one should not say amen after it. That is because they are heretics. They should not be given any other honors such as hagbah and galilah or taking or returning the Torah or even closing the Ark since they are heretics. Therefore unless there is great need it is prohibited to give them these honors. If there is great need such as prevent disputes in the community or the loss of charity than it is permitted to honor them but not with an Aliyah. However to give an Aliyah to someone who isn’t observant is not prohibited since they believe in G-d and his Torah even though they violate the mitzvos because of desire not for ideology. In addition one answers amen after their beracha. Nevertheless it is not appropriate to honor them with an Aliyah since they are sinners unless there is a need such as a yahzteit and there is concern that withholding an Aliyah will cause a dispute or other problem.

Igros Moshe (O.C. II #50) Question The beracha of an Reform and Conservative (who are heretics) can it count for others and should amen be said afterwards? Answer You say you need to honor Reform and Conservative Rabbis by giving them brachos at a banquet in order to raise money for Israel. It is clear to me that their Berachos have no significance since most of them deny G-d and his Torah and obviously it doesn’t count for others. And in addition amen is not said when hearing it. .

Adoption: Yichud & Affectionate Contact

 https://outorah.org/p/160720/

Rabbi Moshe Feinstein is also among those who rule leniently on the issue of Yichud and adopted children, however his reasoning for doing so is especially unique and innovative.[6] He insists that no adoptive father would commit any sexual impropriety with an adopted daughter, for fear of being caught by his wife. Rabbi Feinstein is essentially assuming that in addition to the purity of the relationship between a parent and an adopted child, there is an inherent intimidation against doing something unbecoming, whether or not the parent would even desire to do so. This leniency, however, logically only applies when the adoptive parents are living together in a harmonious marriage.

Adoption – yichud

Igros Moshe (IV #64.2) Question: Is there a problem of yichud with adopted chilfren? Answer Raising orphans or adopting children is a big mitzva. And it is common that the adopted children are not aware that they are adopted until they are adults. It is in fact prohibited to never reveal to them that they are adopted because they might end up marrying prohibited relatives. There is no problem of yichud with step children (children of the wife from first marriage) as long as the wife is alive.  One should not rely on the fact that the adopted child has been treated all her life as a real daughter.

Igros Moshe (IV #71) Question: Is it appropriate to marry a woman who already has a daughter because of the problem of yichud? Answer It happens everyday that a man marries a woman who has a daughter. Since most of the time his wife is with him there is no problem of yichud, even though it happens on occasion that the wife will leave the house for short times. It is necessary to make sure that she doesn’t go for a long period of time. As long as she can return at anytime there is no prohibition. At night if she needs to go to a different house, her daughter should go with her.

Yichud of brother and sister

Igros Moshe (IV #64.1) Question Is there a problem of yichud of brothers and sisters?Answer While there is no natural lust between brothers and sisters that is not because of the physical reality but is the result of the action of the Anshei Knesses Hagedola to remove the lust between relatives so in reality there is in fact some lust and pleasure even though it is not as powerful as between a normal man and woman, they only weakened it. Therefore they are allowed to be alone together only for a short and irregular basis and even to sleep overnight in the same house. Is permitted but not on a fixed basis.  The same is true for his father’s sisters or mother’s brothers . This is true for Jews and non Jews.

Igros Moshe (E.H. IV #64.3): Question Yichud of brother and sister Answer The gemora (Kiddushin 81b) says that a person can have yichud with his sister and live with his mother and daughter. Rashi explains he is allowed to have yichud  with his sister occasionally but not live together with her constantly in a house. So what does occasionally mean? It is makes no sense to say to say it is once in 30 days we say for the beracha on seeing the ocean because the gemora only describes the time for berachos. Look at the brief rulings of the Rosh who says a person can live temporarily with his sister and permanently with his mother. In other words it needs to be clear that he comes to her house only occasionally as a guest and is ready to leave every day and not as one who comes to stay a fixed short time. Thus it is not the actual amount of time but rather that it transient and temporary. So even if he ends up staying for a year or two  or more and then leaves it is not consider permanent. Consequently  it needs to be clearly seen that he came to her house as a guest and not to live permanently which is prohibited even for a single night. As a guest he can sleep overnight even several nights. The same applies for his sister visiting him. Thus it is not a fixed time but the normal behavior of guests in that community. If there is any doubt it is forbidden and not like rabbinic doubts for which we are lenient. Regarding a brother and sister who are still living with their father and likely are very habituated and live closely together which was true even in Talmudic times and yet there were no concerns for yichud

Igros Moshe (E.H.IV #65.11): Question: Permissibility of a brother and sister being secluded together alone occasionally - whether this also applies in a situation where they are living in their parent’s home which therefore means it a fixed arrangement. When they are alone together in the house is this considered on occasion and therefore permitted or since he is in fact living with her in a fixed manner it is not permitted for them to be alone - even though the seclusion is only occasional. Answer: It seems that the practice of the world is to permit this. Even when the parents have only one son and one daughter who are old enough to be obligated in mitzvos, they leave them alone in the house for hours even at night. No one is concerned about the issue of yichud in these circumstances for brother and sister - even religious people. It would seem that this leniency is implied by Rashi who writes (Kiddushin 81b) that "brother and sister can be secluded together occasionally but he does not dwell with her constantly in the house".... this implies that the permissibility of seclusion with a sister is even when they dwell together for an extended time. However the prohibition of seclusion with his sister is only if they are alone constantly together but if it is only occasionally that they are alone then it is permitted even when they are living together for an extended time. That is the reason for the widespread leniency in this matter. However there is no question that they are not to be left alone in the house for an extended time at nights on frequent occasions until this is viewed as the normal situation - and not just an occasional occurrence. In this matter it is not possible to specify the exact number of hours or times that it is prohibited. Rather each one needs to recognize in his sons and daughters what is appropriate.

MK Goldknopf clarifies: 'They distorted my statements'

 https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/412324

In an interview published over the weekend by Makor Rishon, Goldknopf was asked about his stance toward the Religious Zionist community and replied: "Their pain will be with them, and our pain will be with us. Don’t bring me your pain and transfer it to me. Let’s decide that each one has their own package."

Following the backlash, Goldknopf released a statement clarifying that he was referring solely to the Draft Law and its implications, and not to bereaved families, as some claimed.

"The Makor Rishon newspaper shamed, saddened, incited conflict, polarized, and caused great anguish to the families of our holy fallen soldiers," Goldknopf began. "It also greatly wronged me, but I am not the story here. The interview was solely about the Draft Law."

He added: "I apologize to the bereaved families. Your sons are the holiest. Your pain is the pain of all of us. I weep and mourn for every fallen soldier. Every fallen soldier is holy, no matter their background. May God avenge their blood."

Trump’s imaginary numbers, from $1.99 gas to 1,500 percent price cuts

 https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/07/27/trump-numbers-statistics-false-misleading/

President Donald Trump made a promise at a reception last week for Republican lawmakers that was as impossible as it was specific: He would drive down drug prices by as much as 1,500 percent — “numbers that are not even thought to be achievable,” he said.

A price cannot drop by more than 100 percent, but Trump went on to make several other precise but clearly false numerical claims. The cost of gasoline had fallen to $1.99 a gallon in five states, he said; according to AAA, it was over $3 in every state. Businesses had invested $16 trillion in America in the past four months, he added; the entire U.S. economy last year was worth less than $30 trillion.
