Video has emerged of Donald Trump again praising Vladimir Putin—just as the Russian president was launching his invasion of Ukraine.
At the Mar-a-Lago event, Trump mentioned the criticism he had received for those remarks, saying: "'Oh, Trump said Putin's smart.' I mean, he's taken over a country for $2 worth of sanctions. I'd say that's pretty smart.
"He's taking over a country, really a vast, vast location, a great piece of land with a lot of people and just walking right in."
The former president also boasted that he knows Putin "very well…almost as well as anybody in this room."
smart and evil.
ReplyDeletetrump did not say p. is not doing something evil.
Putin Is smart and ruthless.
ReplyDeleteDidn't say anything but praise
ReplyDeleteNobody understood his comments as criticism
How was Trump wrong? For all the huffing and puffing, NATO and the US turned out to be total patsies. Putin sized them up and decided to go for it, knowing that the sanctions would be ineffectual and that there would be no real consequences for his actions. In the meantime, he still controls Europe's main source of natural gas, thanks to Biden. He remains in control so what's not to admire?
ReplyDeleteI guess you would ask the same about Hitler
ReplyDeleteGedolim said the same about him, they agreed with most of his policies (anti gay, anti mixed marriage, communism, etc) except for the small matter of anti-semitism.
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to Justify Putin by saying that if Hitler was initially misjudged we need to also misjudge Putin?!
ReplyDeleteNot really, that is such a contorted sentence, it doesn't even read easily.
ReplyDeleteWhen there was jaw-jaw, and still room to negotiate, we could see some justification to Putin's belligerence.
However, he is now an invading state, and is threatening Finland and Sweden too - so he must be stopped.
