Thanks for sharing. Saying that Torah is sweeter than honey is one thing, but kids ( and adults ) experiencing this is a different story , which is compounded by bribing kids to learn with the rewards of candy and sweets. I can understand from the narrative of Matan Torah , that the manna which was sweet as honey was given before Matan Torah teaches that we can first give kids candy , but then afterwards we have to try and make Torah sweeter than the candy . The message today – Torah is bitter but I will reward you with something sweet – shows how we get things wrong
So are you then saying that Rav Schorr, in spite of his depressed appearance and constant jowly look in front of an audience, is really a very "happy" man, while the Bobover Rebbe who dances with obvious great joy and Simcha in front of his Chasidim is really a very "unhappy" man?
