Once ‘the best’ place for Jews, Canada sees rising antisemitism even after Gaza ceasefire

Attacks continue to force some in the country’s 400,000-strong Jewish community to reconsider their future, even as many believe ‘the vast majority of Canadians are good people’

Antisemitism was already on the rise in the Great White North in the years before the Hamas-led invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023, which left 1,200 slaughtered in Israel and 251 taken hostage to the Gaza Strip, sparking the war. But hate crimes have grown astronomically since then. Many locals insist that while government efforts to clamp down on attacks have been lackluster, rising extremism is largely attributable to a small number of bad actors, not a fundamental change in the tolerance the country is known for.

  1. Well deserved.Cease their whining.
90% of Canada was against Pierre Trudeau abolishing the Death Penalty. He legalized much immorality. But the Jews went wild for Trudeaumania.Naturally.The same guy who used to bike around Montreal in a Nazi helmet.
Chretian wiped out traditional marriage- Jews naturally got excited for him.
Similarly albeit to a lesser extent for Trudeau Jr.
So this is the way the world is supposed to operate.Sooner or later.
If only Jews DT in particular elsewhere would heed

  2. Okay, first it wasn't a Nazi helmet. It was a WW1 infantry helmet but yes, considering Canada was at war with Germany at the time, it highlighted his arrogance and disdain for the rest of the country even back then.
And second, no it's not the vast majority that support us. It's the vast majority of old-stock WASP's that support us and they are a shrinking part of the population.
