That Soros was only nine years old (born in 1930) when the war broke out and all of 14 when Nazi Germany surrendered in May 1945 hasn’t dampened his detractors’ enthusiasm for spreading these rumors, including the absurd claim, which first surfaced in November 2016, that Soros literally served as an officer of the paramilitary Schutzstaffel (SS) in Germany.

So yes, George Soros is a billionaire with ties to
progressive causes. But he is not a Nazi. Or a Nazi sympathizer. At all.
Despite what one might see on Twitter (or Reddit or Facebook) — or even
hear from members of Congress. When one Republican Congress member suggested to Vice News
that Soros had funded the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville,
VIrginia, last summer in an effort to discredit the right, he made sure
to add that Soros ”turned in his own people to the Nazis.”

CLAIM: Democratic philanthropist George Soros was a Nazi soldier
AP’S
ASSESSMENT: False. A photo said to be George Soros as a Nazi soldier is
actually a photo of Oskar Groening, a former SS sergeant at Auschwitz
Birkenau, the Nazi German concentration and extermination camp, operated
from 1940-1945 in Poland.
THE
FACTS: A photo circulating widely on Facebook is not Soros, but a young
Oskar Groening, a former SS sergeant who became known as the
“Accountant of Auschwitz.,” according to information provided to The
Associated Press by the Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau in
Poland.
Soros,
who was just 9-years-old when Hitler’s army invaded Poland, was not a
member of the Nazi party, despite what the photo said. Soros, who is
Jewish and Hungarian, was 15 during the Nazi occupation of Hungary. He
would have been too young to join the Hitler Youth, an organization that
recruited and trained 16- and 17-year-old boys to fight.
According
to false information with the photo, Soros was an SS in the National
Socialist German workers party and served under Adolf Hitler and
Heinrich Himmler. The information also claimed,”He said it was the best
time of his life. The destruction and agony around him was euphoric to
him.”
Soros did
not say that the destruction and agony was “euphoric” to him. This quote
derives from Groening’s testimony in 2015, when he said his enthusiasm
for the Nazi objective had evolved into “euphoria.”
No one rational believes Soros was a Nazi. That he collaborated, he himself admits it

collaborated - everyone colalborated in a small sense - if you obeyed orders, you were collaborating. If you worked in the camps, you were collaborating. The crime he is being accused of is taking an inventory - i.e. writign down what property in the house for them to loot. He did not design the round up of Jews nor their murder.

ReplyDeleteNo regret at all in participating in what he did. That is, at best, extremely callous.
Later in the interview which unfortunately is not shown here is a simple exchange:
"Are you religious?"
Soros: "No."
"Do you believe in God?"
Soros: "No."
Of course since Soros is useful to the Democrat agenda and to the Anti-Israel agenda, you will defend him and hypocritically attack his detractors, but by these same criteria he answered no to in the interview, you would dismiss and undercut the credibility on that basis any Jew whose opinion ran counter to yours on a whole host of issues. Admit it.
Well then we should not have gone after the accountant of Auschwitz. All he did was record stuff in books.

ReplyDeleteGeorge Soros seems to have read antisemitic propaganda and thought to himself, “I bet I could make billions by actually doing what they claim we’re doing.”
ReplyDeleteOn 15 July 2015, he was found guilty of being an accessory to the murder of at least 300,000 Jews.[20]
ReplyDeleteReacting to the sentence, Auschwitz survivor Kor said that she was
"disappointed" adding: "They are trying to teach a lesson that if you
commit such a crime, you will be punished. But I do not think the court
has acted properly in sentencing him to four years in jail. It is too
late for that kind of sentence ... My preference would have been to
sentence him to community service by speaking out against neo-Nazis. I
would like the court to prove to me, a survivor, how four years in jail
will benefit anybody."[21]
Gröning's defence lawyer, Hans Holtermann, was quoted as saying that he
would review the verdict before deciding whether to appeal.[22][23]
On 28 November 2016, the appeal was declined by the German Federal Court of Justice (BGH).[24] In August 2017, Gröning was judged to be fit for prison.[25] An appeal to the Federal Constitutional Court also failed. The latter court ruled his age was not a valid reason not to send him to jail.[26][27]
On 15 January 2018, Gröning applied for pardon as a last measure to avoid imprisonment.[28][29] The pardon was rejected.[30]
On 9 March 2018, Gröning died while hospitalized before he was to begin his sentence. He was 96.
Soros and his father pretended they were german goyim to avoid being killed themselves. In doing so, they were forced to fulfil the role of "good germans". Had they refused, tehy would have been killed anyway.
ReplyDeletenice of you to keep moving the goal posts and toss in ad hominem attacks when the original claims are shown to be false
ReplyDeleteI didn't suggest the original claims are true. I added important context that in vociferously refuting the false claims, you effectively whitewashed this man's actual behavior. In addition to refuting falsehood, we should also be aware of the truth.
ReplyDeleteWhere was the ad hominem? I must have missed that.
The problem with Soros isn't that he was a Nazi. He wasn't. He wasn't a very important collaborator either, being just a child. And who knows how any of us would have fared given the choice between survival at any cost and death with Jewish dignity.
ReplyDeleteNo, the problem with Soros is that complete lack of regret and the ongoing hostility to the most successful Jewish accomplishment since the first Chanukah.
A decent person would be overcome with guilt - I survived but it cost me my soul! Not Soros. Perhaps he never had a soul to pay with.
wow!
ReplyDeleteyou have the self proclaimed ability to know someone's soul
what about trump?
I am sure if he was a Tump supporter you would be singing a different tune
ReplyDeleteWell, at least his middle wife was Jewish.
ReplyDelete"Soros has been married three times and divorced twice. In 1960, he
married Annaliese Witschak (born January 3, 1934). Annaliese was an
ethnic German immigrant, who had been orphaned during the war. Although
she was not Jewish, she was well-liked by Soros's parents as she had
also experienced the privation and displacement brought about by World War II.[85] They divorced in 1983. They had three children:
Robert Daniel Soros (born 1963): The founder of the Central European University in Budapest, as well as a network of foundations in Eastern Europe. In 1992, he married Melissa Robin Schiff at the Temple Emanu-El in New York City. The Rabbi Dr. David Posner officiated the ceremony.[86]
Andrea Soros Colombel (born June 11, 1965): The founder and
president of Trace Foundation, established in 1993 to promote the
cultural continuity and sustainable development of Tibetan communities within China. She is also a founding partner and member of the board of directors of the Acumen Fund, a global venture fund that employs an entrepreneurial approach in addressing the problems of global poverty[87] She is married to Eric Colombel (born October 26, 1963).
Jonathan Tivadar Soros (born September 10, 1970): A hedge fund manager and political donor. In 2012, he co-founded Friends of Democracy,
a super PAC dedicated to reducing the influence of money in politics.
In 1997, he married Jennifer Ann Allan (born November 26, 1969).[88]
In 1983, George Soros married Susan Weber (born April 15, 1955), 25 years his junior. They divorced in 2005. They have two children:
Alexander Soros
(born 1985): Alexander has gained prominence for his donations to
social and political causes, focusing his philanthropic efforts on
"progressive causes that might not have widespread support."[89] Alexander led the list of student political donors in the 2010 election cycle.[90]
Gregory James Soros (born 1988), artist
In 2008, Soros met his current wife, Tamiko M. Bolton, who was born October 18, 1971 and is 42 years his junior;[91] he married her on September 21, 2013.[92] Bolton is the daughter of a Japanese-American
nurse and a retired naval commander, Robert J. Bolton (born October 18,
1946). She was raised in California, earned an MBA from the University of Miami, and runs an Internet-based dietary supplement and vitamin-sales company.[93]"
