Signed by Rav Weiss, among others. Which further demonstrates that this (the nastiness) was never a machlokes between the rabbonim but rather only by a handful of hotheads who answered to no rabbonim and did what they did on their own.
ReplyDeleteYasher Koach to the BADATZ! They are fighting a problem that goes far deeper and is much wider than just a bunch of crazies trampling on them. What can one expect of primitive heated-up youngster "Kannoim" if veritable elders and sages alos trample on the institution of Bais Din? So every move to enforce the Kavod of Bais Din SPECIFICALLY is another step to rebuilding TRUE Kavod HaTorah because NO frum society can function without its most basic and necessary institution THE BAIS DIN that ensures that all Gittin, and hence Kiddushin, Kashrus, Geirus and Dinei Torah are dealt with OPTIMALLY according to ALL FOUR SECTIONS of the Shulchan Oruch and then some, and NOt according to any one groups or individual's selective system of justice that goes unbalanced by any feedback from a designated quorum of fellow-Dayanim. By its nature a Bais Din consists of AT LEAST THREE QUALIFIED Dayan, and usually more are part of a Bais Din Kavua as in the case of the BADATZ that goes back to very foundations of a Torah Kehilla in modern Eretz Yisroel!
ReplyDeleteWhen this blog began way back in 2007, the opening discussions also dealt with an official declaration by the BADATZ against Tropper & EJF (SEE BELOW) and the whole hoopla and and shebang and shenanigans that were operative at that time that were put out of commission a few years later, see the original declaration below, that eventually resulted in the full and total resignation of Tropper (SEE BOTTOM "letter of resignation") and the stripping of the big lie from EJF's false advertizing that it was out to "improve" Geirus when in fact it was ould result in one of the greates Chillul Hashems we have known in our times.
With the help of HKB"H the villains who attack the position of the BADATZ now will also have the downfall of EJF & Co!
They are reaping what they have sown. When you loo the other way when hooligans act like hooligans against others, sooner or later those hooligans will come back and attack you as well.
ReplyDelete@Marty - a rather simplistic summary of the situation
ReplyDeleteWith all respect, the next time there's a report of Rav Sternbuch referring to Dati Leumi folks as evil or against the Torah, or how the state of Israel is a Czarist/Nazi concoction, will he also have to issue such a statement?
ReplyDeleteThese sikriks are funded by a Brooklyn sect struggling to wedge in for
ReplyDeletepower into the Eida by pulling the strings promoting nepotism through lekish.
Although after firing a few salvos through their hired guns against a selective
few key elements, however, after the facts they routinely post disclaimers as
usual. Their current placement is dysfunctional and always had to walk in
between the raindrops to hold on. For the sikriks, it is all about money their
way of life to make a living and nothing else. vehameivin yovin, enough
