This is quite relevant to the Rav Epstein case. Would the rebbe argue that a woman's true fulfillment also lies in having a brutish husband who won't grant her a get? Or in getting paid less because one is a woman, or being unable to vote against anti-female legislation because one is a woman?
First of all, you don't know that the husband is brutish. Maybe the woman refuses to let her husband see his children. And she's the one hiring the thugs to beat him up. So who's the brute?
Second of all, it is a myth that in America women get paid less than men. Some jobs are higher paying than others, but women get paid the same as men for doing the same job. Maybe try researching it if you really care about it rather than listening to the speeches at the democrat national convention as your source. As far as education, today in America, more women are getting degrees on every level than men. Thirdly if you're worried about women not being able to vote, I agree, you should leave saudi arabia immediately. Maybe you should come to the U.S, where women have had the right to vote for about 100 years now.
Lazer, you're incorrect. Women are paid on average less than men, and are paid less on average for the same job. For example, the Census Bureau reported in 2012 that women working full-time are paid a salary just 77% of what men earn.
Sorry Yeshaya, you are wrong! I have done research on this. 77% is the total salary of all women in the U.S. vs. the total salary of all men in the U.S. This is not holding any other variables constant including what job they have. When you look at the U.S. population of people ages 18-34, women are out-earning men, and are graduating from college and graduate schools at higher rates than men.
This agenda to spread this myth that women are discriminated against in America today is the campaign to get Hillary elected president in 2016. Since people are so ready to believe these skewed statistics they will quickly jump to defend women and Hillary and get her elected in the process. The democrats already know what I know, the MAJORITY of America does not discriminate against women.
Withholding a Get to blackmail a woman to grant access to children is also a wicked act.The man has to issue the Get unconditionally and then fight for the money or children he thinks he deserves.
If two people are in a dispute and you know nothing about the situation, other than that they are having a dispute, how do you know who's right and who's wrong?
