In video, passengers heard expressing concern vehicle moving too fast given the large number of people wandering in road near Komemiyut; second such fatal incident this month

Police said Wednesday that they had arrested a bus driver who hit and killed a 17-year-old pedestrian near the Hasidic moshav of Komemiyut in south-central Israel on suspicion of a number of offenses including reckless manslaughter.

As footage filmed from within the bus at the time of the incident circulated online on Wednesday, police said in a statement that the driver would appear in court later in the day for a hearing on his detention, and was suspected of causing death through negligence and endangering human life on a transportation route.

    1. There are mortalities in different sectors of Israeli population. So secular, for example, youth go on trips around the world and tragically get caught in accidents and disasters.
      The question is whether going to these protests and mass gatherings have either permission of the Torah, or protection from danger?
      One of the historical reasons for Nittel was that it wasn't safe to go outdoors at that time of the year.
      That is the rational part.
      Mass gatherings without full police coordination are dangerous. I never go to any political protests or mass events.
