The matter has been reported as clear cut in the media, and the Shamgar national inquiry commission and the court all drew the same conclusion that Amir was guilty of murder. Nevertheless, some inconsistencies in the evidence have been alleged, both in the medical records and in the inquiry testimony. These allegations and other suspicions have been included in occasional left-wing, and more prevalent right-wing conspiracy theories.

ReplyDeleteThe question isn't: did Amir murder him? That's on video. The questions are: who armed him? Who got him through all the bodyguards? Who benefitted from the assassination?
Did amir fire blanks? Have you seen the kempler video?

ReplyDeleteIn the transcript of Yigal Amir's sentence, Judge Edmund Levy sets the time of the murder around 21:45. The same goes for the Shamgar Committee: "About 9:50 p.m."
This time is very consistent with the arrival of Yitzhak Rabin to the hospital: 21:52, but does not correspond at all with the dry facts: Yigal Amir was already in custody at 21:30 !!! (The time can be seen on the watch, of one of the arresting officers).

In the film, Rabin is seen showing no signs of pain upon being shot by Amir. He appears startled, and painlessly turns his head toward the direction of the shot.
ReplyDeleteA person with the injuries he was later shown to have, should have displayed some pain and, if as claimed by hospital surgeons, his spine was shattered, he should have fallen on the spot. Yet Rabin "somehow" walked on his own strength to his limousine, an improbable or impossible feat.
Notes written by doctors who examined Rabin at the hospital reveal that he was shot at point-blank range -- though the supposed assassin never get closer than six feet away. The doctor also notes that Rabin was hit in the spine by a third bullet (evidence contradicted by Rabin's physical behavior) at the time of the peace rally shooting.
Why did ballistic reports at the scene show that the spent shells did not match Amir's gun? Why did Rabin's bodyguard, Yovav Kuriel, commit "suicide", shortly after the assassination, by "shooting himself" in the chest seven times, and was then buried in a closed funeral?
There was also a female eyewitness from the Rabin team who saw him enter the car unscathed. Miriam something...

ReplyDeleteThe pointing of finger at an alternative assassin is the speculative part. However, the feeding of false evidence to the public, Eg the folded song sheet with only 1 hole in it (would be 4 if the sheet was folded twice to fit into a breast pocket) undermines the official version.

There is no "theory" involved in presenting obviously conflicting documents, which are belied by photographic evidence.
