Fox News cancels Lou Dobbs Tonight

 https://www.theguardian.com/media/2021/feb/05/fox-news-lou-dobbs-tonight-canceled

Fox Business Network has canceled the show of Lou Dobbs, the ardent Donald Trump supporter with a history of espousing misinformation who promoted baseless conspiracy theories of voting fraud after the election.

Dobbs is still considered the highest-rated host on the Fox Business Network, and he has remained under contract even though he is not expected to reappear on a new show. His show’s slot, which airs twice on weeknights, will now be filled with a show called Fox Business Tonight, which will feature Jackie DeAngelis and David Asman as hosts.

News of the cancellation came one day after Dobbs, 75, was named as a defendant in a defamation lawsuit filed by Smartmatic, an election technology company and voting machine maker, which accuses Dobbs and other Fox News anchors of promoting unfounded claims that Smartmatic was involved in a scheme to hand the presidency to Joe Biden.

“News of the cancellation came one day after Dobbs, 75, was named as a defendant in a defamation lawsuit filed by Smartmatic, an election technology company and voting machine maker, which accuses Dobbs and other Fox News anchors of promoting unfounded claims that Smartmatic was involved in a scheme to hand the presidency to Joe Biden.”
My theory. The Torah rule (Hertz Chumash): to testify in court one must be absolutely certain of the truth of what one says. Dobbs is absolutely certain that Smartmatic cheats. Best proof: if Smartmatic confesses. Also good proof: confessions of Biden/Harris people. Maybe we’ll get some confessions in the coming Senate impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump and in the coming defamation lawsuit of Dobbs. I’m routing for Donald J. Trump and for Dobbs.
    Torah thought.
“The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to the Israelite people and say to them: If any man’s wife has gone astray and broken faith with him in that a man has had carnal relations with her unbeknown to her husband, and she keeps secret the fact that she has defiled herself without being forced, and there is no witness against her—but a fit of jealousy comes over him and he is wrought up about the wife who has defiled herself; or if a fit of jealousy comes over one and he is wrought up about his wife although she has not defiled herself—the man shall bring his wife to the priest. And he shall bring as an offering for her one-tenth of an ephah of barley flour. No oil shall be poured upon it and no frankincense shall be laid on it, for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering of remembrance which recalls wrongdoing.” (Numbers 5:11-15).
Did the wife defile herself, meaning commit adultery, or not? My theory. The husband absolutely believes the wife who claims that she did not commit adultery. The husband brings his wife to the Cohain and the husband brings a meal offering to God. Why? The husband expects the wife to pass the test so he can take her back and that God will bless them with children etc.
It’s virtually impossible to prove adultery, even in NYS law. Best not to make baseless accusations of adultery. Dr. Ford accuses Judge Kavanaugh of gang rape with no corroboration. Just as I tend to believe that the woman doing the Sotah ordeal did not commit adultery, so too I believe that Kavanaugh did not do gang rape etc to Dr. Ford.
The Hertz Chumash writes on the Ordeal of Jealousy:
“This ordinance was intended to remove the very suspicion of marital unfaithfulness in the midst of Israel. As such crime is destructive of the foundations of social order, it was necessary to arrive at certainty in cases of doubt, and at the same time to afford protection to the innocent wife against unreasonable jealousies.”
We need to remove the very suspicion of fraud in the Biden/Harris election. Fraud in the election of Biden/Harris is destructive of the foundations of social order.

  2. Thanks for the uptick, KA. More on parsha
But I say to put [the verse] in its proper context in accordance with its simple meaning, and its interpretation is as follows: You shall not go after the many to do bad means if you see wicked people perverting justice, do not say, since they are many I will then follow them. You shall not respond over a dispute to tilt after the many, if the defendant asks you about that perverted judgment do not respond to him regarding that dispute with something that follows that wicked multitude by turning the judgment away from its truth. Rather state your opinion of the judgment as it is and let the chain of responsibility for false judgment hang from the neck of the wicked majority.
Hertz Chumash p. 316 “This verse is a warning not to follow a majority blindly for evil purposes, especially to pervert justice. Because the majority of judges or witnesses are agreed on an opinion, which opinion he knows to be unjust, he should not abandon his own view in order to fall into line with the others. One, with God and the Right, are the true majority” Beautiful.
