He gave no indication on whether he had discussed his plans with Trump, but said he would wait for Trump’s peace plan and coordinate all steps with the president, whose team of Mideast advisers is dominated by supporters of the settlements.
U.S. officials said Netanyahu had told them about his proposal ahead of time and had not raised any objections because they do not think it will affect prospects for an eventual agreement. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

  1. There are times during an election campaign where one of the leaders betrays his knowledge that his insider polls show he's losing. I believe this was one of those moments and that Bibi is on the way out.

  2. Bibi is brilliant. The public loves this kind of talk. Remember when on a recent election night he warned the public that the Arabs are coming out to vote in droves? He won the most seats ever in that election!

It also shows how out of vogue Fakestinian nationalism has become even among the "elites" (the Jewish populace never wanted it save a small percentage of far leftists). The left/centrist opposition to Bibi had stated they want to keep the Jordan valley in future "peace" plans. Bibi one-upped them by saying he'll just go ahead and annex it now. This talk, and no less from BOTH sides of the aisle, is unimaginable during the Obama and pre-Obama eras.

  3. More like he knows the public wants, and has always wanted, strength against the enemy fakestinians as govt policy, not weakness and groveling and submission and empowerment to them.
