ReplyDeleteIn my experience, conspiracy theorists want to feel like they have some information others don't. There are a multitude of professions where people have "inside" information by dint of hard work studying and researching some area of knowledge. The list of such professions is almost endless: almost everything man does requires specialized wisdom on some scale.
These conspiracy theorists seek that feeling of having some knowledge only their guild possesses. And if it means being hardhearted in the process, they are not deterred, no more than, say, a psychiatrist who orders a patient constrained and beaten and drugged for the patient's own good. The psychiatrist is not deterred by the screams and howls and protests of the unruly patient, either.
The Sandy Hook deniers are among the most vile people on Earth.
