Women who were repeatedly sexually abused as girls have a 62 percent higher risk of heart problems later in life compared with women who were not abused, U.S. researchers said on Sunday.
1. The higher risk of heart problems is a direct result of having our hearts broken.
2. It isn't enough that we are scarred for life, now we are given a shortened life sentence.
3. Add this to the long list of horrific consequences to the victims of child sexual abuse, on top of having had to go through the abuse in the first place.
