Obama - Songs of praise taught in public school

Fox News

Song 1:
Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country's economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
So here's a hearty hip-hooray ----

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

  1. So?

It's patriotic to stand behind the noncontroversial things that your president says. Such as work hard, don't discriminate, equal work for equal pay etc....

Both parties of Congress always applaud when the current president walks in because the institution itself and the office itself is deserving of kavod.

  2. I'm fine with it too. Children need a model, and in his personal and professional life, he strikes me as very mentchlikh. Genuinely problematic is the Gedolim-worship, and concept of rabbinic infallibility we suffer in our own community.

  3. "Genuinely problematic is the Gedolim-worship"

Uh "red, yellow black and white, there all X in his site" was originally from a song about Oso HaIsh.

It's actually a worse problem than most realize that goes beyond mere hero worship.

Every reaction begats a reaction and no one should delude themselves that while Obama's minions think of yet more idiot ways to cook up admiration for him, that they can count everyone else out:

"Rage Against the Obama Propaganda Machine by Kathryn Lopez, Townhall.com, (September 04, 2009)

...In U.S. Department of Education materials surrounding the first national presidential address to public-school students, children were encouraged to write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president. After some genuine and vociferous backlash, the Obama administration took back some of these recommendations for recruiting students to the cause that is Barack Obama...The culmination of the whole mess, however, was very clear; to "pledge to be of service to Barack Obama . . . to be a servant of our president and all mankind."

Rational people would argue that the head of a republican government serves the people who elected him, not the other way around. But reason does not live in an era of vague feelings.

The video was produced and directed by noted thespian and liberal scold Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher..."

    ----

Ashton and Demi, the Kabbala Center proteges? why should that be a surprise that the Hollywood types now want to empower Obama.

These are strange times we live in!

  5. The problem with this is that this is a public school and the song is not exactly non-partisan.

This is typical socialist indoctrination. It is also indoctrination to the personality cult. The songs that school children are in North Korea are taught regarding Kim Jong Il are not so different to this one.

  6. RaP....Glen Beck is up there with the National Enquirer when it comes to truth and credibility. Don't forget that he was the guy who produced untruthful witness after untruthful witness who swore they saw Saddam Husseins chemical weapons that would be used against American troops who entered Iraq while criticizing the demo[n]crats for not providing enough money for protection against biologicals.

In the end it was all false.

Meanwhile, as far as "propaganda" goes, the democrats, republicans, AMA, NEA, AFL/CIO, pharma companies and every one else hires top ad agencies to help them deliver their message. A propaganda machine is normal and expected.

The silly author has a problem with "The culmination of the whole mess, however, was very clear; to "pledge to be of service to Barack Obama . . . to be a servant of our president and all mankind." "

Are we to think that Obama expects them to be his slave, or it is more rational to think that the message is to help him help US.

Another famous president said "Ask not what your country can do for you; rather ask what can you do for your country."

She goes on to write "A few days after the call, Courrielche noticed that the starry-eyed Rock the Vote campaign, whose "mission is to engage and build the political power of young people in order to achieve progressive change in our country," sent out an e-mail declaring: "We can't stand by and listen to lies and deceit coming from those who are against reforming a broken system...Young people demand health care now." Unsurprisingly, Rock the Vote is in favor of a public component to said health care. "

I happen to think it's a well stated message. The republican platform has always been one of supporting big business in the expectation that wealth will trickle down from corporations to individuals and that this will provide a higher standard of living and better benefits for all. Well, that's the model that allowed unprecedented wealth to be earned and squandered by the rich while the poverty rates and under-insured and un-insured rates soared.

It is a fair and correct criticism of the U.S. in recent years that everyone is only interested in their own problems and their own money and those who 'have' prefer to keep more and more of it without a care as to the 'have nots.'

I like to keep in mind that we are a gov't "of the people, by the people, and for the people." Somehow in the last 50 years we've become a gov't of the corporation, rather than the people.

The appropriate political message is one of self-sacrifice for the public good. It also happens to be the Jewish way.

The problematic message is the developing of a personality cult - and that all resources need to be marshaled to support Obama and his program.

Another problematic event is the NEA

Maybe, but the head of a democratic government is served by the people who elected him, not the other way around.
