JERUSALEM, February 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The International March of the Living today announced one of the largest private donations in the organization's 21-year history, a $500,000 gift from Guma and Jamie Aguiar. The 2009 March of the Living at Auschwitz, the largest of Nazi Germany's concentration camps, will be held on April 21st, marking the 70th year since the Third Reich launched the Second World War.
Only one week earlier, Mr. Aguiar stirred international headlines through an historic $8 million donation to the aliyah (immigration to Israel) organization, Nefesh B'Nefesh, instantly establishing him as one of the Jewish World's leading philanthropists. [...[
Aguiar, founder of Leor Energy in 2003, was lauded worldwide for his stunning success in identifying one of the largest North American natural gas deposits discovered in decades. "Mr. Aguiar has a prophetic sense of vision and purpose, demonstrated precisely at a time when philanthropy is facing serious challenges," said Dr. David Machlis, Vice Chair of the International MO

Awaiting a reality check in Israel about Guma & Jamie Aguiar
ReplyDeleteSo far, Guma and Jamie Aguiar are throwing the sniffing dogs about who they really are and what is their true agenda and if they are qualified to take on the role of latter-day "Montefiores", off their trails by dishing out oodles of dollars to all the emotionally mushy Jewish causes out there.
Notice how Guma Aguiar's role and experience with EJF from its inception until now is very carefully never mentioned even though that was his biggest claim to fame until he just moved to Israel. Was there some sort of agreement made and a legal document signed whereby Guma and Tropper would mutually ignore their role and actvities in EJF for five years together? The conspiracy of silence between Tropper and Guma is becoming deafening and is raising many question, especially since uncle Tom Kaplan and Guma are officially at war. But Kaplan & Guma minus the Tropper & EJF factor is like building Disneyland minus Walt Disney or Bill Clinton getting impeached minus Monica Lewinsky.
When will the Israeli and Jewish media start focusing on the controversial conversion of his wife Jamie?
And when will the Israeli and Jewish media start focusing on the two cases against him by his uncle Dr. Tom Kaplan in America with the accusation of false messianism?
When will Rabbi Tropper finally come out of hiding and instead of hiding behind false aliases online, tell the world how Guma Aguiar fooled him for many years and and his self-admitted primary rabbi and teacher openly and comprehesnsively denounce him (and not just mumble inanities about how Rabbi Bomzer came along years later and helped Jamie Aguiar get an easier conversion)?
There is no doubt that all these questions will be getting answered at some point soon.
RAP,
ReplyDelete1) again with irrational hatred questions and the spinmaster of conspiracies and false statements prior to him knowing any information.
2) I have no idea what the truth is. But certainly it could be that R. Tropper does not to have the name of someone living with a non jewish lady as being active on the organization. And it could be that he made an arrangement from day one that if the conversion fails than he does not associate with the organization. That is actually the prudent thing to do. You also keep repeating a lie that he had him in EJF for five years!
I don't even think that it exists over four years! And he clearly disassociated from him since two years ago! maknig the association with Guma with EJf for a meager two years!
3)And your distraction that bomzer's covndersion of jamie and the episode that led to it as "mumble inanity" speaks more about your irrational agenda and hatred that for the truth! The truth remains: that tropper was honest in this case for not converting her for money (after a long trial) and yet the one who does conversions of the type that warrants and legitimizes EJF's existence, (HB) made that conversion, 1) knowing that she does not want to keep shabbat, 2) getting a 50,000$ essnan zonah gift! This epsiode legitimizes even more the existence of an organization that focuses on kosher conversions!
A paranoid Jersey Girl thinks that Guma and Jaime Aguiar are a front for Chosen People's Ministries, Jews for Jesus, or the Southern Baptists, etc etc.
ReplyDeleteSupposedly Tom Kaplan invested 25 million in East Texas in 2003 and sold his fields for 2.55 billion in 2007.

Here is another article from the Houston Business Wire. http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Merrill+Lynch+Makes+$150+Million+Equity+Investment+in+Leor+Energy-a0158322789
These press releases state that Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan were equity partners in Leor Energy.
Given the dire financial situation on Wall St. wouldn't it be reasonable to expect that such good news, (ie investing 25 million and yielding 2.55 billion in 4 years!! a growth of 10,000%!!) would be at least MENTIONED in the Wall Street Journal or any other financial paper other than the Houston Business Wire???
Why does it seem that only the Houston Business Wire and some Jewish groups ever even heard of Guma Aguiar??
The East Texas Natural Gas Society does not have any Guma as a member. Nor does it have a Leor company name. http://www.ngset.org/sponsors.asp
You would think that with stellar returns such as Leor reports, they would be the HEAD of the Natural Gas Society.
(I recently researched natural gas as an investment strategy for a client, the typical expected annual returns are about 8% which is very respectable, especially considering that the net returns can also be tax free in some instances).
Does something smell "fishy"????
I see you changed the EJF web site and took out Guma from being co-chair of the EJF ( he was there less than a week ago) , Rabinovitz is still there after even after he disassociated himself from you.
ReplyDeleteYou still go on on the web site and say that rav Moshe supports you which is absurd unless you channeled him recently.

You should search for Encana (ticker ECA) and see many articles like this:
[ECA] 44.05, +0.17, +0.4%) said it will pay $2.55 billion for the Deep Bossier natural gas and land interests of privately owned Leor Energy. EnCana, which said it will pay for the acquisition with a combination of cash and debt, expects the deal to boost cash flow immediately and to be neutral to earnings. "These assets are a seamless fit with our existing production and operations, and they hold tremendous growth potential in the near and longer term," EnCana said in a statement. The Deep Bossier assets are located in Eastern Texas.

Whew!!! Thank you Monsey Tzaddik. Better it should be MY insane paranoid moment than the truth!!
ReplyDeleteI have found that it helps to spell correctly when you google a company name.
Thank you!!
Following Guma Aguiar's support for promoting proselytization at EJF, he now supports Aliyah via Nefesh BeNefesh and Holocaust commemoration via March of the Living.
ReplyDeleteThe well-honed (presumably from EJF days) Guma Aguiar PR machine is in high gear as one can see from the report about this at PR Newswire.com:
"Guma Aguiar is Sponsor and Major Donor of International 2009 March of the Living to Auschwitz - Birkenau With Half Million Dollar Gift

That's ok, Jerseygirl, you can always fall back on your favorite, tried & true conspiracy theory-
Aguiar may really be a front for Chabad in their nefarious plot to take over the world.....NOW it all makes sense, doesn;t it ?!
