Rep. Wesley Bell has defeated former House representative Cori Bush in Missouri’s Democratic primary for the state’s 1st Congressional District.
Bush had emerged as one of Congress’s most outspoken critics of Israel following the October 7 Hamas attack and the subsequent war in Gaza, while Bell campaigned on a more moderate platform and has consistently supported the US-Israel strategic alliance.
The result represents an important victory for the Democratic Party’s pro-Israel wing after AIPAC and its allies invested millions of dollars in the race.
This is important for the Democrats because if they decide to run on "We support Palestine and hate America!" then all the Republicans have to do is shout back "We love America!" and they'll easily win.
ReplyDeleteAnd it now looks like the Dem's just handed Michigan to the Republicans by electing an angry Muslim whose priorities are hating Israel and purging any Democrats who don't, as opposed to, you know, helping run America.
