Hegseth spent part of a news conference on US military operations against Tehran criticizing the media and CNN in particular, urging for what he called an "actual patriotic press."

The former Fox News host was particularly incensed by a story the channel ran suggesting Washington had underestimated Iran's ability to disrupt global oil traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

"Patently ridiculous," Hegseth told reporters, before adding: "The sooner David Ellison takes over that network, the better."

  1. And pushing the story that the Iranian leadership remains in power and is stable is patently false. The State Dept. is offering millions of dollars to those who provide information on the whereabouts of the remaining leadership, including the new Supreme Leader.

The leadership on ALL levels is having its military assets destroyed right down to the cargo planes that supply its proxies.

The leaders themselves, I would guess, are on the run and not able to reliably communicate with each other or even know who in their inner circle can be trusted.

The Iranian economy will possibly have the island that processes 90% of its oil destroyed. President Donald Trump has already nullified the defenses on the Island. If Iran mines the Strait of Hormuz, even their own oil will not be able to go to China and India because Mr. Trump said he'll finish the job on the island if the mines are laid.

The liberal media can't seem to give Mr. Trump an inch.

    3. The intelligence community, according to the linked article, has hedged its assessments.

Quote: "The sources emphasized that the situation remains fluid and that developments inside Iran could still change."

Meaning: Predent Trump's spectacular success takes all bets off the table. This rout is turning into one of the all-time great military campaigns.

  2. We must ask ourselves: how much more does Iran want to lose? Are they willing to lose everything? Because Trump and Netanyahu are going to take it ALL. They WILL put troops on the ground if they have to in order to run Iran.
