The data collected during 3 years following vaccination showed a significantly increased risk for narcolepsy with cataplexy (P < .0001) and reduced CSF hypocretin levels in vaccinated children ages 4–19 years the first year after Pandemrix® vaccination, with a minimum incidence of 10 of 100,000 individuals per year. The second year after vaccination, the incidence was 1.1 of 100,000 individuals per year, which was not significantly different from the incidence of 0.5–1 of 100,000 per year in unvaccinated children during the same period.

  9. the issue is whether you follow the overwhelming majority of doctors or the minority?

  10. The details of what is contained in the vaccine today is not available to the doctors nor to anyone else so they are going on faith it is to some or most doctors a simple article of faith..!
In Faith majority is useless ..The majority of the world is Buddhist or Moslem/christian do we follow the majority belief?
    Of course not !
Any Dr or rov must be familiar with all the details for a informed weighty decision . of which danger to accept or Shev val taseh do no Harm bipoel or vaccinate in spite of the billion paid out by vaccine companies( in recent times ) for damages..proven by many courts worldwide.

  14. Berel, the real question is whether you decide it is "assur" to learn Torah tonight. That is the criminal fraud perpetrated by the alleged Rebbes of hasidism.

  15. the Chasam sofer a full nusach ashkenaz hardly a Hasid! did not learn nitel

  16. "The Chasam Sofer himself suggests an alternate explanation for this
custom. He writes that it is well known that the Christians would arise
at midnight to attend religious services. The rabbis were faced with the
following dilemma: If all of the Jews were sleeping at the time that
the non-Jews were running with fervor toward their religious service, it
would look bad for the Jews. On the other hand, the rabbis did not want
to institute a rule that people should wake up at midnight to engage in
Torah study, because that would appear as if we were mimicking the
non-Jewish practice. The solution to this problem was to enact a decree
against Torah study during the first half of the night. The desired
result was that those who normally learned Torah during the first half
of the evening, would sleep then, and wake up at midnight in order to
learn their regular portion of Torah for the evening. This way when the
non-Jews were running toward their midnight mass, many Jews were
    engrossed in Torah study."

The Chasam Sofer (likutim 32) writes that they only permitted card
playing and other such useless behaviors for those whom card playing is
an improvement over what they would be invariably doing otherwise – but
Bnei Torah may not waste their time with such things on nitel.
