“I don’t need international law,” Trump declared in an interview with the New York Times.
“It’s a very important moment,” said one diplomat from a European country, granted anonymity, like others, to speak freely. “There had been a tendency in European media to make fun of Trump and his people and present them as stupid and sometimes even as madmen. I think that’s wrong. They’re highly capable.”
If international law is so great, why is China allowed to threaten Taiwan and occupy Xinjiang and Tibet with impunity? How many warrants were issued for Russia's destruction of Chechnya? Doesn't it still occupy part of Georgia (the one in Asia)?
ReplyDeleteBut the US does something and suddenly it's "But, but, international law!"
In other words why cant we act like China and Russia?!
DeleteThey acted improperly, therefore we should too
DeleteAre you serious that US should follow the example of the worst?!
DeleteThe US won WW2 by unleashing more savagery than the Axis could handle. Now its main competitors are flouting international law and advancing and the answer? Oh, the US still have to play by the rules.
DeleteBetter a living fox than a dead lion.
Trump thinks he is fighting WWIII all by himself. In other words he is the judge and policeman for the world contrary to what he said when campaigning
