ReplyDeleteFirst, the opposition almost always wins the mid-terms. Reagan was hugely popular in his first term and the Democrats won. Yet suddenly this completely expected result is unprecedented.
ReplyDeleteSecond, no, Trump is not in trouble at all. He has no re-election to worry about. He doesn't care what will happen to the Republican party in February 2029. And if you say "Ah, but Congress will oppose him", he's pretty much ignoring a Congress his own party controls so you think that'll change?
