Boycott of Angels

It is interesting to note that the recent boycott of Angels originated and is sustained by politicians

Have not found any Rabbis calling for a boycott - even though there are severe consequences for all chareidim.

One employee of the company did the protest. He's not the owner.
That had nothing to do with the kashrus of the bakery. He's not a mashgiach or baker, but on the corporate side.

  2. Maybe because there are severe consequences for Rabbis should Angel decide it's no longer worth their while to pay for a charedi hashgacha?

  3. You reaaly think all Rabbis are using this as a\ the excuse for not commenting?

What is your point about the rabbis? Seems like you are hinting at something but not saying so explicitly.

  5. Hard to know what all Rabbis have or have not done, let alone why.

But is it unreasonable to suggest that given the financial stake the Eida has in continuing their hashgacha, that other rabbonim would not want to mess with the Eida by publicly supporting a boycott?

If, hypothetically, the protestor was a truck driver of the Angel corporation, would there be calls to remove the hechsher? Unlikely.
So this guy sits on the board, meaning he gets paid to write his name on the accounts or give some business advice. Nothing to do with kashrut.
