Trump might not care that he contradicts himself in his efforts to swing public opinion. But no competent attorney would conduct themselves this way. The consequences might be severe. The DOJ is weighing potential criminal charges against Trump, and it is apparent that a key “plus factor” considered by DOJ is the obstruction of its investigation by Trump and his team. Until now, Trump has found his way out of or around legal problems by relying on questionable attorneys and their aggressive tactics. But that was completely counterproductive here and Trump may pay a very significant price for not seeking the advice of competent lawyers who understood how to manage a complex federal criminal defense case like this one.
Yeah, like, so what? Big deal. Donald Trump gets indicted. If he does, the case will drag on for years. He'll be in the White House by the time the jury is picked. In fact, the indictment may be critical to his re-election.
ReplyDeleteEven if he hired the right lawyers and got off from the charges, the liberal media would still pronounce him guilty and condemn America's legal system for not agreeing with them.

ReplyDeleteSmoking gun = The term "smoking gun" is a reference to an object or fact that serves as conclusive evidence of a crime or similar act, just short of being caught in flagrante delicto. "Smoking gun" refers to the strongest kind of circumstantial evidence, as opposed to direct evidence. Direct evidence would include the entire action; i.e. the action of pulling the trigger, firing the gun, and the victim falling.

I'm still waiting to hear on my NYS Court of Appeals Motion 460 June 27, 2022. SCOTUS ruled I must have a lawyer. No more UPS letters from me without a lawyer. Hey, maybe NYS Court of Appeals will allow me to come to NYS with my family without having to pay $25,000 fines of Rigler/Garson/Rothbart?
