Fact checking claims January 6 was not an armed insurrection

 https://edition.cnn.com/2021/07/28/politics/armed-insurrection-january-6-guns-fact-check/index.html

US Capitol Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell told Kinzinger that "(c)ommon things were used as weapons, like a baseball bat, a hockey stick, a rebar, a flagpole -- including the American flag -- pepper spray, bear spray."

The rioters "had all these items," Gonell said, "used to attack us. Those are weapons."
As CNN has reported, rioters also used knives, stolen police shields, a stun gun, fire extinguisher and more. Hand-to-hand combat led to more than a dozen officers being sent to the hospital, some of whom had bone fractures and concussions.

  1. Bear spray and baseball bats, hockey sticks. What a revolution. Tell the Iranian people to try using them to overthrow their government.
    What did blm protestors use?

  5. Facts are that 3-4 protestors were armed with guns, or 1 was armed, the others had guns in their cars.
So it's not those private militias.
    I'm not justifying their actionß.

you are like noam Chomsky, who says America used nuclear weapons in Vietnam. how did they use them? well the threat of using them is a use in itself.

  6. your concept of discussing facts - is simply to create new definitions. You made a false claim so you are trying to find how to twist the facts instead of admitting your claim was wrong!

  7. What facts have I twisted? 3 or 4 registered gun offences. The remaining claims are not confirmed by the authorities. The disagreement is whether a statement that has a small number of exceptions is a lie. You are claiming in for a penny. In for a pound.
If I claimed that all residents of Sdom are rashaim, and you find 3 exceptions, is my statement a lie ñ

  8. Does anyone give credibility to the suggestion that a bunch of thugs can overthrow the most powerful nation on Earth with a few agricultrual tools as weapons:

    pest spray;

    flagpoles
    baseball bats
oh and 3 or 4 guns, mostly locked away in cars, except for 1 off duty cop who was carrying his?

perhaps this is why the confederates lost the war?

  9. https://www.newsweek.com/exclusive-classified-documents-reveal-number-january-6-protestors-1661296?amp=1

    120,000 protestors gathered.

If 12 had guns, that is 1 in every 12,000.
OK, about those 12 I lied
But the rest I apparently did not lie about.

  10. Wow!
Why do you continue to move goal posts instead of simply saying you were wrong?

  11. i have shown and admitted where I was wrong.

But if you insist on calling it an armed insurrection, then you are wrong for the 100,000 who were not armed.

  12. Nope, you are a victim of your own definition of truth v its opposite

    ReplyDelete
  13. Nope you are simply pounding the table because you were caught making a false claim!

  14. not pounding any table

  15. At best, you have refined my argument, not refuted it. But you are claiming a major but Pyrrhic victory
