The loss of the synagogue has not been easy for the Jewish community. They have reached out to the Hindu Temple Society to allow them to share the space, and Veltri reports that they are still waiting for a response.
We're not the first? Dagnabit! Okay, remembering that these are the folks who decided that driving on Shabbos is okay because attending synagogue is more important than keep Shabbos properly, what could their rationale be? I mean, okay it's likely that, just like in my city, the board of governors of the synagogue, who put together might have a grade 3 education in Judaism, just voted and it never even occurred to them that this would be a problem. But would JTS?
