Following Trump's speech at the Ellipse, he got into the presidential SUV under the impression that he was going to the Capitol, then had a "very strong, very angry response" when the head of his Secret Service detail, Bobby Engel, said that they were going to the White House.
"The president said something to the effect of, 'I'm the f'ing president. Take me up to the Capitol now," Hutchinson testified, relaying what she was told later that day by another White House aide, Tony Ornato.
Oh. Third hand testimony. Sure. Why not? It's a step up from the usual scuttlebutt like the Steel Dossier.

I'm following standard procedure for deeming how much weight to give testimony. Here we have zero corroboration. Zilch.

it is standard for investigation to use hearsay testimony which is later corroborated or refuted
The committee has exposed itself to the possibility their hearings will be labeled a sham and the big tent for a media circus.
ReplyDeleteIf the committee calls witnesses who were in the vehicle and they contradict the hearsay testimony, it's going to be a huge win for Donald Trump.
Standard procedure in a fight is not to make oneself vulnerable when throwing a punch.
Which is an additional reason that her testimony is credible
