So, when positivity rates get too high, the science says we must wear high-quality masks, distance when possible, and lock down if needed until levels drop to levels where the vaccines are most effective. (Restaurants, very dangerous worksites, should definitely be closed and their workers paid to stay home.)
But Democrats in Washington, Chicago and New York keep using vaccination as justification to keep schools open as daycare centers. Is this really for our collective safety? Or to keep workers earning more wealth for the Democratic donor class?

ReplyDeleteLook at Israel - minimal restrictions and the numbers have dropped to near nothing. Look at Florida and Texas - couldn't care less about restrictions and their numbers are dropping. Look at Canada - moderate restrictions with leftists demanding almost full restrictions and the numbers keep rising. Makes one go: Hmmmm.
the virus is impossible to control. Omicron and its variants are even more transmissible. The options are to develop more effective vaccines, and drugs to treat severe disease. to lockdown the entire Western world for an unlimited number of years is self destruction - economically, it will casue nations to go bankrupt. health systems will collapse; people will die of other diseases which are going undetected. And the virus still won't go away. There is no magic bullet for the virus to disappear completely.
