**Never released before** This was the weapon found in our home after the twins' father was evicted by the police. Despite this evidence and my reports of his terrifying and violent attacks, just 18 months later this man was awarded sole custody of my baby boys. I would never have imagined that years later I would still be the one begging and grovelling just for the right to see my children who were abysmally failed by the system. Feeling powerless to protect and safeguard your kids must be one of the worst emotions a parent can experience. Beth Alexander
