‘The president doesn’t like you guys now’: The inside story of Trump’s rage against Netanyahu

Despite his call to Biden after the elections, Netanyahu walked on eggshells to avoid a public rift with Trump. Even after Trump left office, Netanyahu avoided appearing too friendly with Biden. Netanyahu reacted in a diplomatic manner when the profane remarks were first reported on Friday. “I highly appreciate President Trump’s big contribution to Israel and its security,” he said in a statement to the media. “I also appreciate the importance of the strong alliance between Israel and the U.S. and therefore it was important for me to congratulate the incoming president.”

In the two-hour-long interview with Ravid, Trump indicated that he was expecting from Netanyahu to do the very least to help him in his own re-election bid. “I think that when Trump speaks about loyalty, I don’t think that he speaks only about the congratulations to Biden,” Ravid explained. “It was a broader expectation that Netanyahu would give him the same political support domestically that he gave him in Israel.”

  2. Look, we know Trump has the emotional maturity of a 5 year old. Anything short of Bibi refusing to call Biden and publicly insisting the election was stolen would be a betrayal in his eyes.

  3. Torah thought Daf Hayomi 10th of Tevet yahrzeit my mother, a”h:
    Megillah 2b:
“CITIES WHICH HAVE BEEN WALLED SINCE THE DAYS OF JOSHUA SON OF NUN READ ON THE FIFTEENTH. Whence is this ruling derived? Raba replied: Because Scripture says, “That is why על כן village Jews היהודים הפרזים, who live in הישבים unwalled towns בערי הפרזות, observe the fourteenth day of the month Adar and make it a day of merrymaking שמחה and feasting, and a holiday ויום טוב, and an occasion of sending gifts ומשלח מנות to one another.” (Esther 9:19) Therefore do the Jews of the villages that dwell in the unwalled towns, etc. Since the villages [are to read] on the fourteenth, the walled towns [must read] on the fifteenth. But why not say that the villages [should read] on the fourteenth, and those in walled towns not at all [since no mention is made of walled towns in the context]? But are they not also Israelites? And moreover is it not written, From India into Ethiopia [ These words occur in Esth. I, 1, arid are used here loosely instead of the words in Esth. IX, 30. and he (Mordecai) sent letters to . . . the hundred and twenty seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus.]? But why not say that the villages [should read] on the fourteenth and those in walled towns on both the fourteenth and fifteenth, as it is written, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month of Adar and the fifteenth day of the same yearly [Ibid. 21]? If the text had said, the fourteenth day and [we] the fifteenth, you would have been right. Now, however, that it is written the fourteenth day and [we-eth] the fifteenth the eth [Eth is a sign of the accusative, and as its use is optional, it is usually interpreted as indicating something not specified in the text. The interpretation placed upon it here is rather unusual.] comes and makes a distinction, so that the one set is on the fourteenth and the other set on the fifteenth. But why not say that the villages are on the fourteenth, and those surrounded [by a wall] can [celebrate] if they like on the fourteenth or if they like on the fifteenth? The text says, in their seasons [Ibid. 31], the season of one is not the same as the season of the other. But why not say that they [those in the walled towns] should celebrate on the thirteenth? [They must do] as Sushan [did].”

Beautiful. We celebrate, in the walled cities, the way Shushan Jews did in the first Purim, on the 15th of Adar. Village Jews who live in unwalled cities such as Bnei Brak celebrate Purim on the 14th of Adar.

According to the Malbim the Jews in the walled cities heard only wicked Haman’s evil threats and nothing from King Ahasuerus. Did King Ahasuerus purposely keep Haman’s evil threats a secret?

My theory. God did so many miracles on Purim. The wicked corrupt media encouraged Haman, but God intervened to save us. May God intervene and save us today and bring the full redemption, speedily in our time.
