Authorities
in Italy have launched an investigation after a child, the only
survivor of a deadly cable car crash in May, was taken to Israel by his
grandfather.
Not totally parallel, since Yossel Schuchmacher's grandfather, Nachman Shtarkes, was a religious Jew, seeking to raise his grandson as an observant Jew, whereas this family lives a secular lifestyle.
However there is a resemblance between the two stories, in that the Biran family recently enrolled Eitan in a Catholic school in Italy, which is run by nuns; where their children also study.
On the other hand, Eitan's mother's family, the Peleg family, who is in Israel, demanded that he be returned to Israel and handed over to his mother's sister, Gali Peleg, which among other things, would preserve his Jewish identity.
Eifo Yossele?

May G-d, enable Gali Peleg to be victorious!
