A coronavirus variant first spotted in India is poised to become the dominant one in the United States, where infectious disease modelers say it could cause a "resurgence" of Covid-19 later this year.
And it may already account for 1 in every 5 infections nationwide, experts say.
The
Delta variant, as it's now called, has swept across the UK, all but
replacing the Alpha variant first identified there late last year.
None of that really means anything. They said this same stuff about the B117 (UK) Variant, and it was nonsense then too. Fully vaccinated people have nothing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteA few days ago Israel had less than 200 active cases. They're now closing in on almost 600. Ah, 600 isn't a lot, you say. But if it continues to increase and double at the current rate, the fourth wave will be crashing around us before you realize it. And this is in a mostly vaccinated country.
