We know Barr misled the American people in his summary letter, first, because Mueller himself -- in an uncharacteristically confrontational move -- wrote a letter in which he pointedly noted that Barr's public summary "did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office's work and conclusions."
Barr's
misrepresentations were so flagrant, according to Walton, that they
"cause the Court to seriously question whether Attorney General Barr
made a calculated attempt to influence public discourse about the
Mueller Report in favor of President Trump despite certain findings in
the redacted version of the Mueller Report to the contrary." This is how
a judge calls a litigant a liar, politely.
Torah thought daf hayomi. Yomma 24a “Rab said [Zeb.112b]: There are four services for the performance of which a non-priest [stranger] incurs penalty of death [Although the common man is forbidden to perform any service in the sanctuary, he does not incur the penalty of death in any but the following cases.]: sprinkling, smoking [the fat] [or the handful of the meal-offering], the water libation, and the libation of wine. Levi says: Also the removal of the ashes. Thus did Levi also teach us in his Baraitha: Also the removal of the ashes. What is the reason for Rab's view? It is written: “while you and your sons shall be careful to perform your priestly duties in everything pertaining to the altar לכל דבר המזבח and to what is behind the curtain ולבית הפרחת, I will make your priesthood as a service of dedication עבודת מתנה [commitment single-mindedness]; and any outsider והזר who encroaches הקרב shall be put to death” [Leviticus 18:7].A service of gift, but not a service of removal [e.g., the removal of the ashes];and you shall serve, i.e., a complete service, not a service followed by another [The Hebrew word עבודה is divided into עבודת תמה so as to read: perfect service, i.e., one complete, without additional functions such as the four services mentioned by Rab. This excludes a service such as slaughtering which is not complete without the rites connected with the sprinkling of the blood that follow it.]. And Levi [Rab's inferences excluding the removal of the ashes seem to be right]? The Divine Law included it [The removal of the ashes for the performance of which a non-priest incurs penalty of death.] in saying: In everything that pertaineth to the altar. And Rab [Everything that pertaineth obviously includes something else. Unless some other service is intended, Levi proves his case.]? That is meant to include the seven sprinklings within [Lev. IV, 6: And sprinkle of the blood seven times before the Lord; ibid. 17. also ibid. XVI, 14], and those concerning the leper [Lev. XIV, 51: And he shall take the cedar-wood . . . and sprinkle the house seven times, which may not be considered as part of the altar service; the same applies to the functions referred to in the preceding note.].”
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Hertz Chumash on Leviticus 18:7: “7. that within the veil. The Holy of Holies, the innermost Sanctuary of the Tabernacle. as a service of gift. Which must not be regarded as a burden or a misfortune, but as a privilege.” I’m a Cohain. I consider my duty to bless the people a privilege. Thank you God in Heaven. Senator Scot in his passionate speech defending Trump right after Biden’ speech in the US Congress at the end quoted the priestly blessings.
So how many people have you killed? How are you a rogue lawyer since you are not a lawyer so you are just a rogue?
