Tel Aviv's Jewish museum reopens after $100 million upgrade

The refurbished museum adopts a fresh approach to telling the story of the Jewish people, said chief curator Orit Shaham-Gover. It focuses on the diversity of Jewish culture and the accomplishments of the Jewish people, not just its tragedies, she said.

  1. And that's a good thing. A huge reason so many young Jews feel no connection or interest in Judaism is because all they know is (a) we have lots of rules and (b) people keep trying to kill us. All the emphasis on Holocaust education has unfortunately created a culture in which the Holocaust is all some people know about Judaism and who'd want a heritage like that?
