Last month, Axios published "Off the rails," a series taking you inside the end of Donald Trump's presidency, from his election loss to the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection that triggered his second impeachment — and a Senate trial set to begin next week.

In this bonus edition, we take you back into those final weeks — to one long, unhinged night a week before Christmas, when an epic, profanity-soaked standoff played out with profound implications for the nation.

  1. Ah. So a Black comedian on Saturday Nigh Live makes an openly anti-Semitic comment. Biden announces he's re-entering the nuke deal with Iran even as Iran announces it has no intentions of abiding by its side of the deal. There's a potential coming vaccine shortage in Israel. But hey, let's go back to Trump!

  2. yeah and Jewish lasers are causing forest fires and Senator Cruz went on vacation in Mexico and someone spilled oil on Israel's beaches.
So Trump is no longer news

  3. That' right. Move on. Trump is now a has-been who's desperately trying to remain in the spotlight as other events take precedence and you're being his best friend and obliging him.

  4. Contrary to your opinion Trump is still making news and not just at Fox News. Republicans still view him as significant.
But if you close your eyes the world looks different.
Just don't try this while driving or any activity in the real world

  5. Pretending something is true doesn't make it true. So you are tired of hearing about Trump - but a significant number of people disagree

  6. the question is, for your own , and everybody else's health, will you continue fixating on Trump till he dies, and then some? or is time to move on?

At least when I fixate on Rav Goren, i learn more halacha in the process, whether the Rambam, on geirus etc. What benefit is there for you in the next world to spend 4 hours of your learning time daily on trump?

  7. Trump is part of the current world. Are you saying reality doesn't matter?!

  8. So is Jeremy Corbyn, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Jimmy Carter, George w Bush and Obama. As well as millions of others. If Trump makes up 50% of your reality, maybe take a reality check?
