Health Minister Yuli Edelstein berated Tel Aviv party-goers Thursday morning, saying that those who had taken part in mass gatherings the night before, a day ahead of a nationwide nightly curfew over Purim, were responsible for future coronavirus infections and deaths in Israel.

With Purim parties banned this year due to severe limits on public gatherings and a curfew between 8:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, revelers reportedly took part in a number of large parties Wednesday night.

  1. As long as he keeps the seculars under the gun as much as the Chareidim.

  2. I listened to a talk by Rav Pruzhansky, regarding non orthodox movements.
He seems to take a triumphalist position, in favour of orthodoxy.

    So a few questions:
Can orthodoxy survive without its secular brothers? In Israel, for example, how would the hareidim survive if the secular left or Chas vshalom, the State disappeared? At best, they would live under an Iranian type Islamic state. No handouts, frequent pogroms, expulsions etc.

Is the secular-orthodox relationship just another shade of issaschar -zevulon?
    At least bedieved.

  4. Arabs are the ones who are one by one making peace with us. Iran is non arab. Its proxies from Afghanistan are also non arab. Palestinians are not proper arabs, a lot from turkey etc.

Maybe the Shiite arabs who are part of the Iranian crescent.
