Multiple sources state that, in fact, China engages in involuntary organ harvesting from Falun Gong, Uighurs and political prisoners. Can a Jew go to China to get an organ if it's possible that the organ will have been taken from an unwilling donor? He answers "A country or kingdom is presumed to be honest and not lie. From the strict halakhic viewpoint, the patient is allowed to rely on the publication by the Government of China that it uses organs from people who die in accidents. Now my question: given the ample experience from just the 20th century of government lies, from the American to the German to the Soviet and now in the 21st Century all the evidence of China lying, how can we still accept this principle?
