Doctors groups rip Trump for touting baseless conspiracy over COVID-19 death count

  Medical groups are slamming President Donald Trump for resurfacing a baseless conspiracy on campaign stops that doctors are inflating the number of COVID-19 deaths in the USA in order to drive up profits during the pandemic.

    Except it's not totally baseless but it does rely on abusing statistics.
    Bob is 78 years old and has heart failure. He goes into hospital for heart failure, catches CoVID and dies. Now, what did he die from? You could say CoVID. You could say heart failure. You could say that if he hadn't caught CoVID in hospital, he'd have survived and been discharged. Trump is focusing on the heart failure, doctors are focusing on the CoVID.
