North
Carolina reported its highest number of new confirmed cases in a single
day Saturday, as the state enters phase two of reopening.
The state saw 1,017 new confirmed coronavirus cases reported, according to a press release by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, bringing the total confirmed cases to 22,725.
"This is a notable and concerning increase. As we head into a holiday weekend, please practice the three Ws – wear a face covering, wait six feet apart, and wash your hands frequently. When it comes to our health, we need to work together to protect our families, friends and neighbors," the state's health secretary, Dr. Mandy Cohensaid in the press release – which also indicated that "epidemiologists are analyzing the data to determine if there were any significant contributing factors."

America is about freedom. Those who want to stay safe can stay inside, and avoid others when they go out. Those who want to live riskily can drink alcohol and drive, take street drugs, associate in close proximity with others who may have COVID19, and can post pro-Trump comments on this blog.
ReplyDeleteThis idiotic strategy worked really well for New York and New Jersey in February. I'm so glad our frum communities are so "freedom-loving" because that's really something that should take precedence over health and safety. Definitely it's commandment number 614 to love freedom, right?
ReplyDeleteThe whole lockdown was only to slow down the infection rate and flatten the curve !
ReplyDeleteit was never intended to cure any one , only not to overwhelm the hospital all at once .
So thats fine if people catch it now the hospitals wont be overwhelmed any more !.
Thanks, Berel.
ReplyDeleteGood to know about the cures.
Just out of curiosity, which one are you partial to?
Ivermectin is very interesting, but hasn't been tried on humans yet.
ReplyDeleteIsraeli drug opaganib has been successful on 2 patients in Israel. They are about to start clinical trials.
