History's a funny thing. People start it at convenient spots. Is America mired in a horrible partisan near-civil war? Gotta be because of Trump. Or maybe it was because Obama was incredibly partisan. No hang on, it started because of Bush. No, it was Clinton! Truth is, the system has been broken since Clinton's second term when the Republicans pulled out every dirty trick to try and get rid of him. Then to return the favour, Bush II was demonized by the Democrats the minute he entered the White House. So of course the GOP waited for Obama and did even more vile stuff to him. How do we rebuild after Trump? America's been in bipartisan war-mode for 2 decades. That's what you really have to content with.
