Problem of using homeopathic medicines

  1. It's a simple issue: homeopathy is based on a lie. The idea that a minute amount of what harms you will cause the opposite effect and help you is an invention with no basis in any science. Therefore, promoting homeopathy is promoting a lie.

  2. It depends on what disease they are for, and what their definition of "homeopathic" medicine is.
This article includes a list of other types of healing, which are not Homeopathic.
Homeopathy is a system of its own. It is not scientifically proven, but I have tried it for several conditions, and it does help relive certain symptoms.
Also, i have witnessed other treatments, such as energy healing that can help as well, athough this could be placebo effect.
It does not mention acupuncture, as far as I can see, but acupuncture is also useful sometimes, but not all.
Many conditions exists where conventional medicine cannot help, or do so safely. I had once a homeopathic treatment for something which worked quite well, but it caused strong side effects, i could not handle.
Also most of these have nothing to do with idolatry. It is a bit of joke that they are pointing to eastern "idolatry" which is not involved in homeopathy o acupuncture, or chi, or reiki etc. But they are not too bothered about the Panentheism adopted by qabbalah , which the same Rambam fiercely attacked.

  3. That is how they treat peanut allergy.
Homeopathic remedies also use herbs, flowers etc. There may be a kernel of truth to the lie.
Important _ I'm not saying this will cure corona virus. It's only in terms of allergies, which it does help.

  4. It seems to me that too many totally different healing methods are being bunched together .

With some methods offensive to halacha for sure but the others doubtfully so .
A posek needs to be consulted for your exact question.

  6. it works sometimes, but not always
A few years ago i went to a Homeopathic hosptial, and they wanted to use a human cancer /tumour to treat allergy. I refused. So i agree, some of it is whacko stuff to avoid. Some are just herbal remedies, which may have a few herbs in it, I don't see why it is assur.
