Trump: I didn't call Iran strike back, I just stopped it for now

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/264952

On Thursday night, it was revealed that Trump had approved military strikes against Iran in retaliation for downing an American surveillance drone, but pulled back from launching them.
On Friday, the president tweeted that he was "cocked and loaded" to strike several targets in Iran but deemed the loss of life would be disproportionate to the downing of an unmanned US drone.
Earlier on Saturday, Trump announced that he would impose new sanctions on Iran on Monday.

    R. Hisda said: Whoever contends against [the ruling of] his teacher is as though he contended against the Shechinah [The reference is to Korah's rebellion; though against Moses only, it is stigmatized as being against God.], as it says, “The sons of Eliab were Nemuel, and Dathan and Abiram. These are the same Dathan and Abiram, chosen קריאי in the assembly, who agitated הצו against Moses and Aaron as part of Korah’s band when they agitated בהצתם against על the Lord. (Numbers 26:9). R. Hama son of R. Hanina said: Whoever quarrels [i.e., in general] with his teacher is as though he quarreled with the Shechinah, as it is said, This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the Lord [see Numbers 20:13 and “The place was named Massah [i.e., Trial] and Meribah [i.e., Quarrel], because the Israelites quarreled and because they tried the Lord, saying, Is the Lord present among us or not?” (Exodus 17:7)]. R. Hanina b. Papa said: Whoever expresses resentment against his teacher, is as though he expressed it against the Shechinah, as it is said, “Since it is the Lord, Moses continued, who will give you meat to eat in the evening and bread in the morning to the full, because the Lord has heard the grumblings you utter against Him, what is our part? Your grumbling is not against us, but against the Lord!” (Exodus 16:8). R. Abbahu said: He who imputes [evil] to his teacher is as though he imputed [it] to the Shechinah, as it says, “and the people spoke against God and against Moses, Why did you make us leave Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread and no water, and we have come to loathe this miserable food.” (Numbers 21:5).”
Hertz Chumash p. 635: “The Book of Joshua records the conquest of Canaan by Israel, the settlement of the Israelite tribes in the land, and the beginning of their consolidation into a nation. Joshua himself is one of the outstanding characters in Scripture; thefaithful servant, the victorious soldier, the intrepid general, the wise ruler; and the man of deep faith and humility---his last addresses reviewing the past do not contain a word of his own achievements. The final words of his farewell exhortation to his people to stand firm in their allegiance to God are among the great utterances of history: “Or, if you are loath to serve the Lord, choose this day which ones you are going to serve—the gods that your forefathers served beyond the Euphrates, or those of the Amorites in whose land you are settled; but I and my household will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15).”
Our true Torah leaders: Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, etc were humble always giving full credit to God with no word on their personal accomplishments. Beautiful. The rebellion “Now Korah, son of Izhar son of Kohath son of Levi, betook himself, along with Dathan and Abiram sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth—descendants of Reuben—to rise up against Moses, together with two hundred and fifty Israelites, chieftains of the community, chosen in the assembly, men of repute” (Numbers 16:1-2) had its origin in personal motives, not in the name of Heaven.
